Ashley C. Sumen

Ashley is a Director of Recruiting at Solutus Legal Search, where her practice includes conducting searches on behalf of in-house law departments and law firms. A former practicing lawyer, Ashley has a deep understanding of the legal market and the needs of in-house and law firm employers and she brings that unique and valuable perspective to companies and firms as they seek to build out their legal departments. Ashley regularly counsels law firm and in-house attorneys seeking a change and serves as a trusted advisor at all stages of their careers.

Ashley practiced law for over fifteen years, both at AmLaw 100 firms and in-house. Prior to joining Solutus, she served as Senior Corporate Counsel at AEG Presents and practiced at top law firms including Blank Rome and K&L Gates, where she was a member of the firm’s associate and summer associate committees.

Ashley received her B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Santa Barbara and received her J.D. from Loyola Law School. She enjoys travelling and spending time outdoors with her husband and two young daughters.
