Senior Commercial Attorney (Director Level Position) - Silicon Valley, CA

Our client, the global leader in nanomanufacturing technology solutions, is seeking a Senior Commercial Attorney to add to its growing legal department.  The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of experience drafting and negotiating sales contracts and other commercial agreements.  This attorney must possess excellent business judgment and be able to work with cross-functional teams, take a leadership role in driving solutions and work under pressure to meet short deadlines.  Law firm and in house candidates will be considered, but in house experience is preferred.  California Bar membership is required.  This attorney will be responsible for managing sales and other commercial transactions for the company’s Solar Business Group.

Primary Responsibilities Include: 

• Working closely with sales, business management, finance and other company departments on deal structures and negotiation strategies.
• Providing legal and business counseling to sales professionals and management.
• Negotiating, drafting, and advising on sales agreements and other commercial matters in support of global customer base.
• Training sales professionals on legal issues and sales and contracting processes.
• Frequent overseas travel.
